Los Angeles, CA – May 15, 2014 – Skipping Stone founder and CEO, Peter Weigand, will host CleanTech OC’s one day symposium, Driving Smart Grid Customer Participation in Orange County, to be held on Tuesday, May 20, from 7:30 until 11:30 a.m. The symposium will explore the current push to drive customers of all types to adopt and utilize smart grid related solutions.
Speakers will include:
- Caroline McAndrews, Director, Preferred Resources Pilot at Southern California Edison, who will explain what the program is about, its customer adoption goals and the use of smart grid technologies
- Matt Gudorf, Energy Manager, UC Irvine who will discuss the opportunities to integrate and demonstrate microgrid technologies on campus. UCI has been at the forefront of the microgrid space for years.
- Professor G.P. Li, Director of the California Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Director of CalPlug (California Plug Load Research Center). Professor Li will discuss the commercialization and partnering opportunities of plug loads in driving the smart grid future.
The morning will culminate in a Smart Grid Solutions Showcase with many solutions providers being represented.
